88-98 Door differences?

Looking at how the door panels and door pulls (closing handles) changed over these years, how did the inside shells change to accommodate the different door panels?

If I remember correctly, there is a brace in the 95+ doors that the older ones don't have. There was a pic floating around one of the threads here a while back showing the difference.
