What is the difference between SRW and DRW hubs?
Specifically any strength/bearing size differences?
Are the studs the only difference?
If converting a DRW truck to SRW but keeping DRW brakes would you want SRW hubs?
Is there a replacement high strength stud available? (I’ll see if ARP has something)
What brand of hub should I be looking for? Moog apparently isn’t the same anymore. I’ve always heard good things about SKF. What else should I be looking at?

If converting from one to another, you want to swap the whole axle.

Also, hubs aren't a maintenance item on the rear, like they are the front. Normally you'd just replace the bearings.

I’m only talking about the front

Oh, just pull off the adapter, and see if the studs that hold it on will work for the SRW rims. The hubs are the same.

Normally Timken is the good brand for unit bearing hubs, but SKF should also be good. They don't normally include the ABS sensors, Though.

You didnt specify if your truck is 2wd or 4x4. Thankfully the 400's are easy.
If it's a 2wd, simply swap the front rotors. The knuckle is the same.
If it's a 4x4, unbolt the extension, and install the 2wd wheels.

Why does Rockauto list hubs differently for dually or SRW?
I have a 94 so no big deal on the ABS sensors

I didn’t but just assume my name is a giveaway ‍♂️
I’m more concerned with new hubs than swapping wheels at the time being

You say hubs... there arent any hubs on a 4x4. That is outdated terminology.
4x4 trucks use a bolt on wheel bearing assembly, with a rotor mounting flange that the lug studs are pressed into.
On a 1500, the rotor is simply slid onto the flange, on a 2500/3500 the rotor is attached to the wheel bearing assy from behind first, then the bearing is bolted to the knuckle.

On a 2wd the "hub" is the rotor, whether SRW or DRW, the extension is the difference.
So again, there actually is no "hub".
Oh, and wheels matter, since you cant put a DRW wheel on a SRW front rotor.

Unless your planning on letting the truck sit on jackstands, instead of its tires, as a roller...

I never assume, I expect the O.P. to tell us what he/she is working on. Seeing as I personally have 6 and 8 lug trucks, 2wd and 4x4, I give that info in my question. Because I never expect the responder to make an "a$$" of "u" and "me"
