Yes back in the day, we sold Delco replacement horns, and they had a letter code on the housing that indicated the pitch/note. Dad had 4 on a couple of our square body Burbs. You could hear that from a good distance. I recommend if doing this to test your horns and see how they sound. Some combinations of notes are better than others.

2 horns is pretty standard for gm vehicles.....at least it was. One of my horns burned out and I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet.

I know all 1500s do. But from what we've gathered the 3500s dont because mine didnt and wasnt wired for but also @frito-bandito didnt either

My truck is a 3500.

Can confirm, both of my trucks have two horns. I had to replace both of my factory horns on my 98 after the temps were super cold one night in January, they started blaring at 2 or 3 in the morning.
