What do , show us photo of the sides, how many latch adjust knobs, fer crying out loud , you have say exactly have or show photos , can't see what you see.
I do not know exactly what year they came out of, I will say 94 and earlier as they are identical to my 94 bench. I will get more pictures tonight. I was hoping the one above would identify my issue or lack of one. There are no levers on the sides, just in the front to adjust the sliders front to back.

If it secures something and must be physically moved it's a latch. You catch a ball.
94 and earlier most 60/40 seats , the driver is the 40, narrow seat. As my 93 is that way.
I will go out and and photo the seat back latch. Back in an hour.

Are you interested in selling the bench? Do you have all the track parts for it? Does it have a fold down middle?

I appreciate your feedback and the picture you posted. However that is not the same seat that I have. Also, in the industry I work in there is such a thing as a latch and a catch. I also came here asking for help not a smart ass answer. I am sorry that you are an angry person that feels that in order to help someone you need to be an ass to get your point across. You are one of the reasons I am regretting getting into the OBS world. Any way, I have found the answer to my question. I am not missing anything, it is the way they are designed. I have attached a couple extra pictures for your viewing pleasure.

It does have a fold down armrest and it does have all the hardware. The drivers side is ripped and the cushion has a hole in it.

This memory of mine isn't what it used to be...

It's been well over a decade, but the bolt that holds the locking mechanism broke. Spend some time studying it. I was able to clearly identify the problem and fix it with what I had on hand.

The seat in your image came out of a 93?
The seatbelts that accompanied this 40/60 where they?
If they're available I'm interested-
