I have a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.7. Recently, it has began what sounds like pinging under heavy throttle and misfiring. The misfires are coming from two to three cylinders according to my code reader. I am getting the misfire code p0300 and 0304 and the
p0327 code. I've ran a compression check and all the cylinders were from 165-175 psi. The plugs all looked good even in the misfiring cylinders. It has a new distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. It also has a noise at idle that gets quieter as it warms up. It also refuses to downshift when you accelerate.
