Has anyone placed 5.25/6.5" speakers in an extended cab rear pillars? I know I'd have to remove material. Just looking to see if anyone has done it.

Last year I replaced the rear in my ext. cab with oem size 4x6 and I took a dremel to the panel then put speaker grilles over em. Glad I did cause the Pioneers I put in sounded horrible so I easily changed back with Delco. The Delco have the appropriate ohm ratings for the oem radio. Panels will crack/break at the clips, I figured it would be a mess so why I did the hole cutting in the panel. Anyways, I guess you could put a larger speaker in there, may have to cut away some metal from the stock hole & drill new mounting holes.
