So I got a 93' 3500 Cheyenne, 454 that I'm redoing for a high school project. Everything is stock on it, and it needs an engine rebuild. No I can't swap it or do anything overly expensive. However, I am wondering what I could do to get the most horsepower possible? It has a ton of miles so it will need to be bored over into a 468, and I'm wanting to make it a rolling beast, so anything to amp it up from what it already is now would be great. If its bored to a 468, is there any cam work/ swap or stroking to further improve it? If so, how much and also general price range?

It depends 100% on how much you want to spend. Adding any power worth talking is gonna take some coin.

I built a 489 (454 stroked) for 3200$ made about 500 hp 550 torque.
Gen vi block .030
Forged stroker rotating assembly
Vortec heads with some work done
Full roller with aluminum rockers
Zz502 cam and valve train
Torquer 'll intake
Had to switch to a carb though since a tbi could not feed the beast.
