400hp/400tq goal in CA. Swap or modifications?

That's what I'm saying. I believe to hit 400hp you're going to sacrifice some low end.

The problem with 400 horse on a Vortec is the you will have to swap induction. Unfortunately being California you probably won't be able to make it legal. Unfortunately 400 is most you can typically fuel out of even the mpfi spider. I don't know if the marine intake would be EO certified.

Nope. If you're savvy you could prob float one through though. I think a 400hp Vortec wouldn't pass a sniff test either.

Hands down THE best way to make 400hp/torque in CA. May as well lock the thread at this point.
