Hi guys.
Recently started modding my (new to me) 97 ECSB. I owned a 97 'Burb for 8 years prior so I'm pretty familiar with this rig. On my 'Burb, I had 285/60/18's on Weld Evo Andros 18x9 -12mm offset with zero rubbing issues ever on stock suspension. Not to get into it, but I'm haunted every single day by the stupid decision to sell that truck . Another story.
In any case, I don't particularly care for the look of anything above 18's on this truck. I'm looking at 305/60/18's on 18x9 or 18x9.5's again - probably Moto Metal 955's with the same backspace noted above. If I recall, this equates to 4.5" backspacing. Now, my truck doesn't have lift kit but it does "appear" to sit 2 inches or so higher than most other gmt400 trucks I see rolling around by neighb.
I'm wondering if anyone has fitted 305/60/18's on a gmt400 and if there are rubbing issues? I may eventually go 3" or 4" suspension lift but not anytime soon. I need new tires stat and don't want to waste my money on 17's for the current rims that I will not keep anyway. I did search and read the relative threads extensively but did not find a conclusive answer.
Many thanks.

EDIT: 12:57PM EST. I goofed up the thread title - should read 18's. My apologies.
