Well I just found this thread, and read the entire thing...nice work!...wow a 632ci would be a monster... Any updates?...also I, along with many others I'm sure, would be interested in how you gutted your wiring harness and what you got rid of...cool build.

632 is most likely out the window. Can't get my power goals out of a 540ci with some nitrous. End goals are around 750-850hp na and then a 200 shot to spice things up a bit. Been a while since I've updated the thread for many reasons. I'll post a large update later on tonight to let people know of the plans. I can make a list of what I removed/added from the wiring harness and how I got around it.

So as most of you probably know already, the 383 will not be in the truck for long unless we decide to test the limits of it with nitrous. A big block chevy will most likely be in the truck within the next couple years, unless a 408 stroker comes about, so a lot of things that have been worked on will have to be changed again. The whole truck has gone through some extensive work. Below is a list of what has been as a whole to the truck to make things simpler for people who are just now reading the build thread. If you have any questions don't hesitate to pm me, in the next couple of months I will be drawing up a core support cover in cad to cut out on a water jet, as well as a gauge assembly for the autometer gauges. The timeline for the future plans depend on if we are moving to North Caroline. If we move to North Carolina the truck will be put on the back burner as a pole building will have to be built.

Engine:
-383 stroker built by TriStar Engines making roughly 460hp and 470 ft lbs of torque on pump gas
-Carb swap (post coming about that)
-Powdercoated accessory drive to clean things up a bit
-Hooker ceramic coated long tube headers
-Energy suspension motor mounts
-BeCool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans
-Completely replaced the ac system

Transmission:
-4L60E built by Monster Transmission to handle 600hp with a 2500 stall (going higher very soon)
-Lokar transmission dip stick
-EZTCU transmission controller
-braided lines throughout
-new trans cooler

Front Suspension:
-2in drop spindles
-Custom coilovers by DBRODS that are bolt in
-Powdercoated front swat bar, spindles, backing plates, paint matched calipers, as well as the steering rod
-Energy suspension bushings all throughout the truck
-Completely rebuilt the front suspension
-New brake lines throughout
-New firm feel maser cylinder
-Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve
-Summit Racing Line lock mounted on the firewall

Rear end/suspension:
-373 yukon gears
-Moser Axles
-Trutrac
-New bearings throughout
-Summit bearing support rear end cover
-Disc brake conversion by SSBC
-Belltech drop shocks in the back

Wheels:
-20x8.5 Boss 338 chrome wheels up front with 255/45R20 yokohama tires
-20x10 Boss 339 chrome wheels out back with 275/45R20 yokohama tires
-Looking for a set of drag slicks for the rear

Interior:
-Bench to bucket seats conversion (will be swapped out for racing seats and 5 point harnesses soon)
-New carpet
-Replaced dash with non cracked one
-Custom gauge cluster with autometer gauges
-Custom switch plate for transmission lockup and performance/eco mode
-Alpine headunit
-Dynamat throughout

Exterior:
-Door handles, antennae, tailgate handle, bumper stake pockets shaved
-AVS door poppers installed
-Tailgate handle relocated
-GMC grill swap
-Billet GMC grill
-New headlights, turn signals, corner light assemblies
-Stripped down to bare metal
-converted from solid rear window to sliding rear window
-Will be painted Electron blue metallic
-Windows will be limo tinted
-Roll pan installed
-Hidden hitch(removed for room for fuel cell)
-Energy suspension body bushings
-stripped front frame down, and painted with Eastwood 2k ceramic frame paint
-Filled in holes on firewall and filled in spot welds on the firewalll

Electronics:
-Alpine head unit
-Alpine speakers
-Autometer gauges
-Wiring harness stripped for bare essentials
-ECM deleted
-HD wiring harness by LMC installed
-DDM 35W 6000K lows, 55W 8000K highs
-Optima Red top
-EZTCU trans controller
-Alpine type r 10s

Future plans:
-parallel 4 link
-drag slicks/rims
-540 BBC making 760-850 na (or more) with a 200 shot of nitrous
-fuel cell behind rear axle
-electric fuel pump mounted on frame
-redo braided fuel lines
-finish painting it
-install new weatherstripping that was purchased
-replace extended cab window molding
-modify trans crossmember/ tubular trans crossmember
-box frame in
-finish painting frame
-driveshaft loops
-drive the piss out of it

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me. There are no stupid questions.

Well here is the latest update on the truck as it sits today. The truck was dropped off at the chassis shop for the newest modification to the truck! A Chris Alston Battle Cruiser 4 link was installed. Once the truck was back from the chassis shop the engine/trans were installed so that it can make the trip to NC. Two weeks ago we sold our house in Florida, and my dad will be moving to Greensboro for his promotion. The truck will most likely sit for a while until we are situated in the new house, and the new garage is built. Will keep everybody updated.

Below is an example of the color the truck will be painted:

The plan is to paint the exterior of the truck that color, as well as the inside of the engine bay. The plan is to make the engine bay look like this (obviously with a SBC not an LS engine)
