1997 c1500 column shifter screw

Wasn't sure if this was the right section or not. But I guess it is transmission related.

Recently inherited my grandfathers sierra. I noticed the column shifter felt pretty loose so I took the column apart. Not sure what happened, but the screw that holds the shifter in place was the wrong size (too big) and only has about one thread in.

Anyone know the actual size and thread screw that goes in there?

You could try the wreckers, but that may be buying back the same problem. The one in my '98 was sloppy. A wrecker one did make a bit of dif. Still wasn't great. Had to go to the stealership.
