When you say “Amazon” fuel injector spider, is this a AC Delco or Delphi unit?
Also, what usually kills quality fuel pumps ( AC Delco or Delphi) is not changing the fuel filter often ( every 15k). Even a mildly plugged fuel filter significantly shortens the lifespan of a pump. A quality fuel pump with regular filter changes may last as long as the motor……
And, although no way to prove it, regular fuel filter changes, and using quality gas (Top Tier fuel), seems to go a long ways towards extending the lifespan of the factory SCFI injectors. I have four Gen 1 Vortecs V8’s, ranging from 170k to 270k, and although one has the Delphi MPFI replacement, it turns out the original was fine, and so are the other three original SCFI spiders.
