This is how it looked when I bought it. (Google Pics because I was not smart enough to take starting pictures. But look exactly like my truck did.)

Before I started taking pictures I added a toolbox I found off of craigslist,
Rebuilt the motor adding flat top pistons, comp cam and matching valve springs, high volume oil pump, upgraded all the bearings and frost plugs, and shorty headers,
Put on a 3" leveling kit including 3" blocks and put new rancho shocks on.
I stuck on a window decal that I found

Received a dent in my toolbox from a golfer we were doing construction just off the golf course. (At least it was not up about 6")

ok so I performed this mod to my truck today (5/9/12)... but I did it a little different.
I know people have mentioned how they do not like how when this mod is complete that the upper corners look different than the stock lowers. The way I did it I solved this issue. I also made it so I do not have to keep cutting and epoxying the mounting "braket" to knew upper corners (I did this because I plan on going to clears eventually and know it would also drive me insane with the uppers looking different than the lowers)

I made a mounting "plate" out of some corners I got from the junk yard

Then I took a dremel and cut a hole out of the grille shell that cleared the cuttout of the newly fabed plate

Then I placed the upper corner in place an made the same hole

Then I epoxied the mounting plate to the back side of the grill shell (It went on the back side to give me just enough clearance for the bulb inside the upper corner)

and then I test fit the bulb and socket

The way I did it if I change corners all I have to do is drill a hole that is just a little bigger than the socket. This way both corners will look the same as the stock ones.

Added some bed rails

Worked on color matching my grill and install billet insert
Sanded and test fit

I was all excited to install it and then I got it next to the truck...
So much for color code paint matching the color of the truck:nono::nono:
(intalled for the time being)

I am running 305/70/16 BFG KM2's on 16x10 pacer wheels. I am also running a 3" suspension lift (new keys front and blocks rear). I would recommend not doing it that way though, it is really rough and hard on front end parts. Spend the money for an actual drop kit or a BL:imo:

no I don't mind at all. I sanded it down with some sandpaper and ended with about 400 grit. taped it off real good and used rustoleum sandable primer and then just some rustoleum black enamel spray paint.

If you do it make sure you really tape good because mine does not look as good as it does in the pictures up close...
Its what you call a 10ft paint job :nono:
