The paint needs some kind of UV protectant or else it will begin to fade.

I'll just be "that guy" and throw it out there. Plasti Dip. I think Don Yukon's truck is a great example. Had it on over a year and its held up fantastic.

I'll just be "that guy" and throw it out there. Plasti Dip. I think Don Yukon's truck is a great example. Had it on over a year and its held up fantastic.

You gotta do it right though and use the right primer, my buddy did it to his 06 dodge and didnt do anything to the paint before and it peeled off in no time

I've never had an issue putting it on plain ole paint. No sanding or nothing.
