1993 Gauge cluster w/tach from diesel to 94 K1500

I have the cluster from a 93 Chevy dually with diesel… Would this work in my 94 K1500 with a 5.7? I have searched the forum but was unable to find this particular question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

It will work, plug and play. I put one from a diesel in my 1993 silverado 3500

How did you hook up the tachometer? The diesel tach originally connected to the alternator? Is that what you hooked it to? Or will the diesel tach work if you connect it to a traditional gas motor tach signal?
