Cool.....you have to be really careful on these cars. Most are rusted out in some fashion or another.

I love my 89 RS 6.0/4l60 swapped Camaro. :)

Oh yeah...Be prepared to bend over on parts for this car..they are high as giraffe ****!! Especially Interior parts.

id argue that point round here thirdgens are super cheap, if your going th350 early 82-84 cars came equipped with a 200c i think it was called which has the same mounting and location as a th350 so instead of a pricey aftermarket crossmember find on of those in a junkyard. secondly said torque box i think your referring to is a torque arm.unless you mean the mount for the rear lower control arm,

I'm just going to throw a motor/trans in this car, run it for a few months then pawn it off to the next person. But gotta fix the rust first. The interior is actually nice, just gotta get the bolster on the drivers seat fixed and a headliner.

I was looking at that crossmember a while back, I was going to put the same trans in the Trans Am I had that I sold to fund the Silverado. Its a built TH350, upgraded internals as well as a shift kit. It isn't where the torque arm mounts but like where the rear end hooks into the subframe, and of course its on the side the T top leaks worst on. I'll see if I can find the pic of the underside of one and show where its at.

typical rust is behind pass rear and front wheel well, drivers wheel well, drivers floor, the lca areas, t top areas like to leak and sometimes for whatever reason some certain year/plants had a pillar rust

This car is going to meet its demise here soon. Starting to tear it apart and use whats good on the green 92. Decided this car is to rotten to save. Its a real shame because of how straight this car really is.
