Since I never kept up, and updated my original build thread from 2+ years ago, here it is. This truck replaced a '91 stepside that I had for about a year. I was in search of a project/work truck that had a bigger bed. As long as it was a 400 with a bigger bed and 2wd, that was the search criteria. Let me see if I can remember and put this in some semblance of an order...

Modifications, changes, and upgrades in the order they made it on the truck.

As purchased, from second owner in december 2009 with 75k miles for $3500

Some '95-up style mirrors for a cleaner look

3 of the 5 clearance marker lights on the tailgate were missing, and the wiring was broken at the joint where it goes from the tailgate to the bed. I replaced the wiring, installed LED markers, and wired it up a little different than just standard running/marker lights.

Then I decided that a blue truck with a blue interior was a bit too much blue for me...

Awesome looking truck man! You def brought it back from the brink!

Thank you, the good thing was that it was an original unmolested truck. The bad thing was that is was an original, unmolested truck.

I can def see how that would work for and against you at the same time...For because you arent redoing someone elses hack jobs and against because you are fighting against over a decade of rust and wear and tear and any goof ups GM may have done when building it.
