Another wheel question...lookin at a set of 15x7 rally rims. Backspacing is around 4". I was wondering on an 89 c1500 sport side reg. Cab could I run these wheels with 225 or 235 75 15 and they would fit in the (tuck)fender wells? And is that a typical backspace for that rim? Thanks in advance for the help. Going for a 4/6 drop. Thanks

Thanks fastorange...perfect. I am running 275 60 15's on all corners now on an 8" and currently with the rims I have they will not fit up in the fenders. Glad to hear a 275/60 will fit on a 7" rim....thanks for the reply.

You can, but not really recommended. The tendency for it to wear funny is high, will vary with brand/model of tire as sizes aren't exactly the same.

Yeah, I think so. They are designed for an 8" wheel in most cases, with an acceptable range of 7.5-9.5". I've seen more than a few that wore funny on 7's. Some could have been attributed to improper inflation, never know, but not likely all of them.
