Not the best picture, but both of my valve covers are covered in oil most of the engine is to be honest I’m thinking of pulling the valve covers, cleaning them up, throwing some paint on, and putting new gaskets in. Wondering what would cause the oil to be on top of the covers rather than just...

Valve Cover Gasket Replacement on my 1994 Chevy Cheyenne C/1500

Today I replaced the valve cover gaskets on my 1994 Chevy Cheyenne C1500 single cab long bed with the 4.3L V6 engine. I have the factory shop manual for my truck so this procedure was by the book.

Which Valve Cover Gaskets for my 1994 Chevy C1500 with the 4.3?

I have a 1994 Chevy Cheyenne C1500 with the 4.3 and I'm about to change the valve cover gaskets as its time to get rid of this leak. I actually have two sets of gaskets, one set is Fel-Pro and the other Mahle. Which ones should I go with? Seems like I see a lot on Fel-Pro?
