    So which leaves come out to drop it to a 1500 pack? Is there a thread somewhere I could reference/search? I could always add a short block to get back to static height without the bags, then use the bags only when loaded.

    That piece goes on the drivers side with the notch towards the top/front. Might be snug getting it to line up, it allows the longer top stud to tighten up and adds a little rigidity.

    IIRC the LS is the same as an SBC except for an added 7th bolt at the top of the bell housing. There are some depth differences from block to flywheel/flex plate and whatnot, but bolt up wise they should jive.
