Door panel question?

Does anyone know if the little kinda circled gray piece comes off or is it part of the panel? mine is cracked in a few spots and want to replace it

Seat question?

I just got my truck yesterday and noticed something, it is a 97 Reg cab short box and has a full bench seat, not the 60/40 split bench. Is it possibe previous owner replaced the seat, or did some come like this??
