    Bucket seat parts, 1993

    Need a couple parts to repair my bucket seat on my 93. Any ideas about where to find parts? (See pic) broken channel and missing fastener that attaches adjuster handle to channel.

    Final Update: driveshaft shop said shaft had a dent/bend, they worked it out and rebalanced shaft and new u joint assay, shaking at 65mph+ is gone! Cost = $225 for 2 replacement u joints, shaft straighten and balance.

    Yes, I have 4 new tires, mounted and balanced before trip to driveshaft guy. Trying not to fall in the black hole of chasing vibration, but we'll see how it goes.

    Update: took to driveshaft shop today, guy there says this is normal procedure for DS balancing weights, had him replace both u joints and balance DS assembly. Will know whether this resolved the shake at 65mph+ in next day or so. He did say that the u joints looked like aftermarkets due to...

    Got a weird high frequency vib at 65mph +. Rear of truck off ground on jackstands - def in rear. Looking at u joints and driveshaft. U joints have no obvious problems. Does this pic of driveshaft balance weights look normal?? Looks like it's been worked on before.

    1993 5.7L V8 Engine codes don't latch - why??

    I get a little spitting/sputtering and the check engine icon turns on then goes out, so I can't read a code in order to troubleshoot. Any ideas about why the code doesn't latch in? Is it such a momentary problem that it doesn't trigger the latch or ?

    So got truck going with new ECU, now it runs good but starts missing/chugging when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Miss goes away when downshifting back to second. No engine codes set! Any ideas/places to start looking?

    Got the schematic, traced the wiring down, had continuity and no ground on wire, I conclude it's a bad ecu, got one on order. Noticed existing ECU is labelled "remanufactured", so we'll see what happens with new one.

    Getting Codes 22 and 34, TPS and MAP. Pulled plug off TPS and tested grey wire to battery -, I get 0.025VDC with key on and engine not running. Here's my question:. I understand the 5VDC comes from the engine computer in the glovebox, but is there anything in the circuit between the computer...

    Richard III posted a pic to my original post, it's not a very good pic but you can see some of the damaged wiring. From the sound of your post I should prob plan in a good solder/heat shrink repair.
