    The build of "Wh4t3v3rs"

I'm pretty interested in that Featherlight bumper. I was looking at these a few days ago. and weight savings numbers vs a stock bumper? mounting tips ect. would be awesome too.

The issue was with the old NV3500 was being broken LOL I broke the synchros from shifting too fast for the power it was making. that trans was really intended for the 5.0L making 180 HP not a 383 making (hopefully) 450 ish. The T-56 is fantastic, its a very expensive hurdle, if you can afford...

You're More than welcome. I Often struggle with motivation to finish projects (or start them). This thread was started more for a way to hold myself accountable to continue the process. It was also a good way to show nothing is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. I've made more than a few on...

OBS chevy racing offers an adapter they call a 315 Adaptor. allows a 17-18 inch Zr1 or 10-11 wide wheel to fit with a 285-315 on all four corners. I think I am going to try that for a temporary solution to wheels and tires. I recently found some rocket racing flare wheels that look promising...

Alright, Going to try and bleed the brakes tomorrow and torque the upper a arm bolts. Today I lowered the back down about 2.5- 2.75 inches to better match the front. we have about a 2 finger gap in the rear and about 1.5 fingers in the front. I think this will be a happy medium between the...

There are so many kits out there. I think I've mentioned in here before that the ridetech kit looks like a better kit functionality. I just didn't want to spend the extra money. So I'm interested now to see brlltech kit looks.

I've looked at a few trucks that have been widebody. Definitely my cup of tea. Anything is possible in the future.

Probably not unless it's absolutely necessary I'm planning on trying to run 295-315's on all 4 corners. I just need to find the right wheels to make that happen.

I got a little more clearance. It might need to come up just a tad more, but this may work. I believe the wheels that are on it are the c10 rally wheels. They have a lot more dish than other steelies I've seen. So they stick out a little from the fenders. That being said I might still need to...

Aside from the upper A arm bolts / caster camber bolts not be torqued yet. (I messed up one of the bolts, waiting on a replacement) I got everything sort of together. However.... QA1 advertises this level 2 front kit as a two inch drop, and four inches with a two inch drop spindle. This kit...

Appreciate that, I think I'm just going to use a cushion clamp for now. Cheap and will do the job for now. I may just add it to my junk yard list to look for later .

Classy is very kind .. I absolutely mangled the factory brake line clamps. There is a mounting tab on the new a arm to accommodate the factory clamp. I just goobered mine. Maybe someone makes a replacement clamp, not sure I guess I'll look into that.

They are heim joints on the bottom and the top has a fully threaded bolt and some jam nuts. The bolt can be backed out 2-3 inches. It's currently threaded in all the way. I was debating on trimming the bolt or just buying a shorter one to shorten it up. I've read the shorter the better but I...

We're still rolling... New pads, calipers, and steel braided brake lines. I have most of the linkage tight, cotter pins in place. I need to do final torque on the AArms still, bleed the brakes, try and set the alignment. (We'll see how that goes). I ended up using the factory front sway bar...

that was the one I cross threaded anyway, I knew the O ring was questionable at best, then I boogered the threads. I'll likely make a post later about the High pressure side leaking, so be prepared.

Made a little more progress today. Steering box swapped, Easy enough. Pitman arm nut is bigger than any wrench or socket I have. Google says 1-5/16 ordered one of those. (Hope that's right) I need to remember to be sure the new steering box is centered before I try and tighten the Pitman...

I looked at the red head steering box, after seeing some pretty bad reviews, denied warranty for an aftermarket steering shaft, and talking directly with a distributor, I decided this was the way.

we've made it this far Scooter, you think I'm putting stock stock A arms back on it? No credit.. I decided on the level 2 front kit. I didn't want to quite go with the lvl3 kit and cut everything off the front. I went with a borgson quick ratio steering box. Steering shaft is from Cunningham...

Side note, when I purchased the truck it came with a handful of receipts for parts that were "on the truck". The 2 inch drop spindles being one of those parts. Either the PO was trying to upsell or he didn't know and someone ripped him off. I was told it had Belltech 2 inch drop spindles. when...
