Well that's kinda what I figured. I was hoping though.

92 C1500 Upper Control Arm Inner Bushing Insert Source?

1992 C1500, I'm rebuilding the control arms and my upper inner bushing inserts are galled and corroded up with a lot of pitting and rough surfaces. Anyone know a source for them? It's the insert that goes inside the poly urethane bushing, not the outer bushing in the control arm itself. Just...

    1992 C1500 Polyurethane A-arm Bushings Direction

I'm installing the above Prothane kit and wondered if someone will tell me which way is the flange is supposed to go or if it matters. Should the flange go to the front or rear? I can't find an answer on the net and the manufacturer was no help at all, the customer service rep referred to...

    New here, 1992 GMC C1500

Plan ahead for the throttle TV cable bracket, I had to cobble one together for my carb converted 92 with a 350 & 700R4.

95 Chevrolet K1500 5.7 TBI to Carb Swap

Make sure you can get a throttle cable bracket that works or you are going to have to build/modify your own. I had bought several that claimed to fit but didn't, I ended up cobbling one up using the original and parts from an aftermarket bracket on my 92 5.7 carb conversion.

    Great and Terrible Parts Vendors

I get my part numbers from the manufacturer's catalogs and use that on Amazon. Amazon's part fitment program can be off at times. When purchasing over the counter open the box in front of them and check the part to see if it had been pre-installed by parts-changers. Have them test the part in...

    Great and Terrible Parts Vendors

A lot of shops are parts changers instead of diagnosticians, parts stores accept their returns as "new" when they have been installed in order to keep their business.

    Ac system advice anyone?

Dude that is fucked up, just be a man and own up to it. Seems like everybody wants to put the blame on someone else instead of taking personal responsibility for it.

And you are still chasing a ghost, with a carb and such you could have solved your problem long ago.

    Another TBI running rich

I got tired of mine throwing fits and not idling. No codes stored or otherwise. Replaced nearly everything and same problem. My solution was replacing the tbi with a carb and HEI distributor (manifold and all that stuff). At least now I can work on it if need be and don't have to fool with a...

    Aftermarket gauges?

One thing you might try is buying a GPS unit at a pawn shop, I got mine for $30 and it will show a screen with the current speed on it. I originally bought mine so I wouldn't have to worry about looking for street signs, I now usually keep it on the speedometer setting as I can track and focus...

I have room for a couple more vehicles I can run using the VIN via CompNine. It will tell you what RPO's you have on your truck. Would you like me to do so?

Fleet to step side conversion questions

I worked for O'Reilly's for 10 years, buy an OE pump and don't fool with an off brand. I replaced mine with an AC Delco so I don't have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road, in the dark, where monsters roam and eat unwary drivers with broken down trucks.
