    Oil pressure issue

    1996 k1500 with a 5.7, unknown miles on the motor. With 10-40 at operating temperature idles around 20psi. As I backed out of my driveway tonight gauge dipped to 0 and then jumped back up, oil looks good. I know the gauges have a tendency to be inaccurate, could it be the pressure sensor?

    I was looking to get a new trim piece, after me and my buddies scavenging local junk yards we were totally unable to find one. I looked up the part number off of my piece and that still came up with nothing. Does anyone know anywhere that sells it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Losing Oil Pressure?

    Ok so since I first changed the oil on my 96 k1500 with the 5.7 my idling pressure has been at 40 pounds. When I got on the truck it was 60 pounds and that didn't change with the temperature of the engine. But now, I put 10W-40 full synthetic high mileage oil in it just like every other time...
