    Not sure what AIR system means. It has a functioning A/c system noise is regardless of whether ac is on or off. Its a reman with 2k miles on it.

    Replaced the front passenger side axle tube bearing and the noise is gone. The bearing part number is National bearings b-2012 and the seal is National oil seals 710101

    thanks df, went with 80w90. Unfortunately, the people that owned it before me stripped the rear diff fill plug. I guess i will have to get a cover that has a fill and drain plug.

    My concern was that gm went to a 2 piece tranny/bellhousing somewhere around 95 96. Thought that might be a solution to getting away from different one piece tranny for different engines.
