Welp, they are in there for good now. The gap between the headers and the UCA mount is gone now. I'm going to let it self-clearance because I'm tired of messing with them. I'm thinking a few 1/4 passes should do it.

I should also update the goal of the truck now that it is not daily transportation anymore ... race truck!

I'll give him the summer to fart around in it and then I'm gutting it. I'm tired of the ugly, ratty interior. The hideous under the hood appearance. We cut a lot of (mostly aesthetic) corners to get it on the road and now I will have the time to make it better. In the words of Colin Chapman (Lotus F1 designer) "simplify, then and add lightness".

Once they bang around d some and leave witness marks you can yank it and dent it in the appropriate spot so it doesn't make anymore noise. I decided to let my brake backing plates self clearance on my Camaro. I made them back in 2021. They're still noisy to this day, but I don't care because the rest of the car is loud AF and I don't hear it when I drive.

They suck even to take out.

Went for a drive, the gutlessnotorkrevtothemoon LS truck was laying twin black stripes for the first time ever.

Have to make an appointment with the exhaust shop.
