If the small gauges were closer together, that might help with the proportion.
I grew up with square body trucks and Burbs, so the little gauges being on the "wrong" side took getting used to. But to my eyes they look better, when the rows are closer....

Might make them easier to see through the steering wheel too. I laid mine in the positions of the original gauges and now I'm wishing I had moved them closer together. The steering wheel rim blocks the view of the oil pressure a little so I have to **** my head to see it. Probably won't be as much of an issue once I get an engine in there that actually has some oil pressure.

This is almost exactly how my 22 super duty is laid out. Those gages are a touch smaller but larger speed / tach and i havr no issues seeing thru steering wheel
