One more thing, keep in mind that the passengers seat in my truck is not a power seat.

Thank you very much for the detailed photos Kenny!

Yours is a bit different than mine, but a lot of the springs and levers are in the same place. Almost looks like your upper tracks and lower tracks are the opposite of mine.

When you grasp the flat rod that sticks out under the front of the seat, it operates the upper levers, then what operates the lower levers? At the moment there is nothing connecting the upper levers that engage the upper track to the lower levers and track so that all four levers unlock from the two pairs of tracks.

Ok, here are a few more pics. The first one, the handle you are talking about in the front of the seat, to set how far back or forward the set is, is in the first 2 pics. First one, is it locked in position. Second pic, I'm pulling the handle to release the seat base so it can be adjusted as close or as far as you want, from the dash. The last pic, is the other side of the seat, where the cable connects and what it pulls on when you use the top handle on the seat back and fold it forward to access the back seat, allowing the seat to be slid forward. So when you turn the top handle, it pulls the inner cable, and that pulls the release on the seat bottom. Ok, it didn't put the pics in the proper order, but you should be able to tell what's what.

Thank you guys!
Mine does not have a cable, and I'm pretty sure they never had one, least I don't see any provisions for a cable. It is entirely operated by wires that pull on the levers that engage/disengage from the tracks. Unless there is more apparatus missing that I thought.

Suburbans, where did you get that diagram? A passenger side diagram might give me a better idea.

Some how, I think, a wire running from that flat rod sticking out in front of the seat to one of the lower levers (which are connected by a wire so one operates the other) is what's missing. I"m gonna go to the hardware store and see if I can find that stiff type of wire, or maybe a braided cable would work if I can crimp it closed while keeping the whole shebang tight enough.

You can try. I have tried some different things before trying to repair seat spring stuff. The rods may be made out of (improved plow steel) IPS wire. This is what cables are made out of. Like lifting sling cables. They are IPS steel. Aircraft cable is also very tuff stuff. Maybe a RC hobby shop mite have some small cable that is used in RC air plains. If it's stranded cable, you can plaid an eye in it. They also make some lead type smash crimp connectors to make a loop in that same type of cable. Also some deep sea fishing lanyard cable may work. Same concept on the connectors.

I got it online. There also available at the dealer.
