Hi. New guy from Missouri. Been lurking for a while - awesome forum.

Decided to start a new project, wanted a full size pickup and had my eyes on the obs GM.

Bought a 1999 CCSB k2500, tan on gray, 180k mi, 480le, serious grandpa farm truck.

My first ever domestic vehicle of any kind as well. And I've had almost 20 cars/bikes over the years.

Have many plans and hoping to do the majority of the build in a couple months time span. Will be starting a build thread here soon as I have already done a bunch of work.

Hope to be able to contribute to the forum. Thanks for all the good content this far!

Couple of pics from the night I got it home.

Thanks for the welcome. This was a Missouri pickup its whole life. I was impressed to see not a bit of onset rust. I have reason to believe this truck was barn-parked for a LONG time but no indication that it ever "sat" so I think that did it some real favor.

It is amazing what indoor storage will do for one of these trucks in this part of the country. Both of my '97s have been in the family since they were new but the Suburban has spent considerably more nights parked outdoors and it really shows. The red truck was garaged most of the time and is completely rust free while the Suburban has some pretty bad body rot in a few typical places. They like to be warm and dry at night for sure.

No doubt! My Lexus stays in the garage exclusively and there is no room for a second car in our 2 car garage (mostly because I have too many damn tools).

That and this truck is too long to fit! And will soon be too tall I suspect.
