I need to replace the headliner on my 98 K1500. I was going to use a headliner material from stockinteriors.com which comes with a 3/16” foam backing. It’s very pliable.

I need to recover the overhead console to match. Is headliner material normally used for that or would it be too thick?

I used headliner material on one I recovered several years ago and it worked out fine. I don't know if that's the proper way but it's how I did it.
