Wasn't sure which area to post this!
On my 97 Tahoe 2door when I fill the tank I get a strong gas smell outside of the vehicle until some fuel is burned off.
Nothing on the ground so no leaks. I also do not overfill the tank.
It has been like this for a while now but didn't used to be this...
Back again,
Finding a variety of "factory" wheels I like but not sure on fit for a 97 Tahoe 4X4 2Dr. Yes, 6 lug for sure.
I am thinking 18" is the size to go with. I am seeing some style I like but want to try to verify they work ok before buying!
Thanks for any photos of your rig with GM wheels!!
OK, thanks. I guess I'll get them. $250 for the set.
I've always like the flares on these, my 4X4 Dually has them on the front. However it seems every half-ton I see with flares looks like the front wheels are too small! Like the wheels don't stick out far enough laterally unless it's a 3/4...
Thanks. I plan to check the motor that drives the "zone" selection as I see it is an issue when I google. Or is one possible issue.
Since my truck does not blow air when on the "vent" setting I think it's logical to assume either the door doesn't close or move all the way or doesn't seal...
Airflow changes with the controls and seems ok. You can hear it move. The defrost if powerful as is the feet/lower vent. It is just the vents that face you. The flow is ok but not super strong. Definitely weaker than the truck is.
I'm assuming that having a little bit coming out of the left...
I've always thought the airflow out of the dash vents is a little weak. Figured it is just that way. For clarity I mean the vents that face you and not defrost or feet vents!!
Recently had the A/C fixed, new compressor, and the repair guy mentioned weak airflow out the dash vents. He said...
Hi all,
My 97 Tahoe LT 4X4 has the stick wheels on it. I am thinking to go to one of the newer Chevy wheels. My concern is the size differences and any potential issues.
The truck drives and handle excellent now so I have always been leery of changing the rims out.
Here is a picture of the...
Hi all,
Recently had to replace all of the white retainer clips/pins for the door panels as the old ones all broke at once!
Now I find that the lower front of each door panel does not sit flush against the door.
It is likely the speakers are the issue.
Figured I'd do some research and get some...
Ok, so new clips like the ones originally on the door, the 2 piece ones, came in and are installed. Seem ok but I now find a new issue I did not see before.
The door panel doesn't fit well at the front lower corner where the speaker is. Aftermarket speakers installed by previous owner.
Both...
I understand they can be a consumable part but my point is that they all broke but the door panel had not been touched.
Not just one or two were broken but every single one on the bottom and both sides of the panel.
I opened the door and was getting ready to start taking the panel off when I...
