Hey everyone.
I’m having an issue on my 1993 5.7l TBI.
Attempted to replace distributor this last weekend, could not get the engine started. Chalked it up to a faulty distributor so to test this I threw the old one in. Started up immediately, timed it to 0 degrees without the advance plugged...
nut is definitely tightened all the way.
Linkage is fine I shifted through all the gears. But it’s still rolling and clicking in park. Any other ideas?
Gonna drop the pan next week and I’ll report back, linkage seems fine? I tried reseating it.
Maybe during my rebuild I didn’t tighten that nut correctly.
I’ll update

Everything else works. I have reverse, drive, car drives great.
But recently noticed on a slope that in park the car will still roll. You can hear clicking as it rolls. It sounds like the lever is trying to engage.
I’ve also noticed...
I could not tell where exactly unfortunately. It’s possible I spilled some fluid earlier in the day but I don’t see why it would be causing smoke 8 hours later.
Coolant is at appropriate level

I’ve replaced the thermostat. The upper coolant tube is hot, so I believe it’s not faulty.
I’ve replaced the temp sensor ontop of the engine next to the thermostat housing.
The temp reading on the dashboard climbs to 150 and never rises from there...
Hey guys.
Completing a 1993 4l60e rebuild and my solenoid wiring harness was not reusable.
I received a new kit that claimed it was 1993 and realized during installation that it has the plug and solenoid for PWM that does not exist on the 93 4l60e’s.
Will it cause any issues to leave this...
Hey all,
Pulling my transmission for a rebuild due to loss of 3rd/4th.
Just went to disconnect the coolant lines from the transmission and no fluid came out when disconnected. Is this normal?
Possible Bad pump caused failure?
