    Right, might better to take this into an exhaust shop to have this whole system reworked. Seems more and more messed up the more I look at it.

    My mechanic doesn't do any welding. I have the ability to do the required cutting and welding, just not sure where exactly to cut to make this fit nicely

    I agree with the mechanic, you can feel the heat thru the floor after its running for a bit, too hot to touch. With young kids in the vehicle I don't want to risk them being burnt. He gave me a list of things on the inpection that failed, rust was not one of them

    What is the cheapest/easiest way that I can adjust this cat lower, the shop that did my inspection says it is too close to the floor. I have a hot snot welder, just never worked on exhausts before and don't have a lift, only a floor jack and a set of jack stands. Maybe there is a quick easy fix...

    Yes, sorry I meant the lever going into the shoe. I will try your advice tonight regarding holding the park brake release. My cables are not in the greatest shape, the springs on them are a little rusted which is probably why I have been having trouble pulling them back. I even bought the above...

    Can't get the E Brake cable back into the brake shoe?

    For the life of me, I cannot pull back the spring on the E Brake cable far enough to put the knob on the end of the cable into the brake shoe. Am I missing something here? Any way to loosen up the tension on this spring? 2000 C2500, 14 bolt SF
