    Nv3500 swap

I'm looking at doing a nv3500 swap on my 98 k1500 with a 5.7 It currently has a 4l60e which bit the dust. I can get my hands on a nv3500 and transfer case from a friend. Came out of a 2001 k1500 with a 4.3. My question is, would that one work in my truck or is there something different with it...

    Engine swap 98 vortec in a 83 k10

I just put a 98 5.7 vortec engine in my 84 k5 about 4 months ago. Used a complete engine with all accessories. The 98s alternator is a good upgrade over the stock 84 setup. I used an Edelbrock 2116 intake and a qjet carb. On a vortec intake, you'll need to hook up the bypass on it or else its...

    Skip problem

Well it looks like an internal problem. Done a compression test earlier and here's the results, 1- 110 2- 125 3- 95 4- 130 5- 0 6- 125 7- 135 8- 110 Looks like it's time to put the new engine in. Lasted 313k miles so I'm not complaining to much. Guess when I take it out I'm gonna tear...

    Skip problem

The fuel pump is staying steady at 60 psi. The skip has now turned into something worse. At this point it looks like I'm about to tear the top end off and do some checking. It will barely run now. Only code its throwing is random/multiple cylinder misfires. It sounds like a very bad internal...

    Skip problem

Seem to have a problem I can't figure out. My truck is a 98 Sierra. 5.7. If I'm going 55mph uphill and the trans downshifts and stays in that gear for a few, it will start missing. Feels like it's only 1 cylinder. Also does this if I pass someone. Pretty much anytime the engine is under heavy...

    6.2 ls swap

The engine came with a 6l80. It has a tcm mounted inside the pan. It's a matched set so I should be good. I almost said that cam should have gave you more power than that lol. Then realized you said at the wheels. I'm sitting here thinking dang, its rated at like 405hp. But that's at the crank.

    6.2 ls swap

Definitely what I was looking for. Thanks. Might have to throw some weight in the bed to help with tire wear lol. It'll also lighten the front end some to. 170 pounds lighter compared to a 350. May get started on the harness this weekend. Probably take me awhile for this project.

    6.2 ls swap

I'd also like to build my own stand alone harness instead of buying one. I'm decent with wiring, have access to alldata for the schematics and all but have no idea where to start.

    6.2 ls swap

Has anyone done a 6.2 swap? Just got my hands on a 07 Escalade L92. Has a reman 6l80 bolted up to it. Its obviously a drive by wire setup and I have everything with it. Engine, trans, harness, e38 pcm and the pedal. As far as mounting it into my truck, (90 rcsb) I pretty much know what I need...

    2012 bumper swap

I acquired a Ranch hand rear bumper off around a 2010-2012 chevy. Has anyone done a swap from one of the nnbs trucks to an obs? I know I will have to cut the original mounts off and weld new plates in the bumper but that's no problem. Just curious if anyone has pics of one. Searched but havent...

    Tow Hooks?

Wont work for my particular application. The winch would block it if there was a frame mounted receiver. Guess i could get some d rings and weld them to the bumper itself. Would love to have a front reciever but not sure how im going to approace that

    Tow Hooks?

Installed a ranch hand front bumper replacement thats been modified for a 3 inch bodylift. The factory tow hooks are still there but not really useable. Any used anything from another truck or got some ideas? I want some kind of hook or loop there as a recovery point. Ive searched but havent...
