I've used an infrared temp gun on the engine amd it read accordingly with the gauge. Don't have a scanner that will show temps etc.

I replaced the temp sensor in the head too, forgot to mention that. It does it the same no matter whether I'm idling or driving highway speed.

I have a question. You cover supercharging the engine, but what if I wanted to turbocharge my 5.7L Vortec? Is it basically the same as the 'Supercharging' paragraph?
