Actually my first main plan was for an Open Oval GMC grill with insert, paint matched. But then I stumbled upon this and was looking for opinions. Ive only seen a few conversions like this and this was quite possibly the cleanest. He has a nice truck all around, bagged and linked. But my first thought was the same as most of yours, not on my truck.

As for the brush guard, if someone was close enough to come unbolt it from my truck and swap me for a GMC grill or a little bit of cash, they could take it. haha But Im in ALASKA. Too damn hard to ship anything, since we're mainly considered "international." Funny, Im pretty sure Im still in the United States? haha

Do the GMC front end. It will match up with the rest of the mody lines better.

I like the stock 94+ Chevy and GMC front clip, and the only clip swap I have ever liked is the 03-06 slant eye chevy swap on our body style and that's only if it's done right.

That one doesn't look too terrible, but I'm particular about these things and the front wheel openings lost the shape of their lip in the swap and don't match the rear anymore, and that would bug the hell out of me. Plus, I have to agree that I feel the GMT-900 clips are just way too big and bulky looking on the GMT-400 trucks.
