In your original post, you had a link to motorman fiel injection. I purchased a vortec mfpi unit from them that was rebuilt with crappy Chinese parts (the white plastic tips). Well they were almost 1mm oversized and so they didn't fit, and I ripped my upper intake manifold apart for nothing. They did replace it, but wasted probably 10 hours of my time. Not a big fan.

Thanks for the input so far, everyone. The throttle blades don’t operate smoothly by hand. Could be gummed up, could be worn out. I’m not 100% certain yet and am planning on checking this prior to any re-conditioning.

Those heavy springs on the throttle shaft put a lot of side force on the shaft causing wear on the bushes. Because the springs are so heavy you don't notice the extent of the wear until you release the springs. When the bushes wear they allow the shaft to move off centre and this cause the blades to not align properly so they can bind on the wall. It's not a difficult job to rebush them, the worst part was the cost of the kit to do just one throttle body, but if you knew others that needed to do it you could share the cost between yourselves making fairly cheap. It also removes any vacuum leak from the gap between the bush to shaft.

Who have you used and what was your experience? I’m looking for cleaning, bushing replacement, etc. More than just a simple gasket job. I’ve seen these places online:
I bought my 46mm TB with an 18LB spring from SPR Performance. It came with complete "Ultimate Mods" including shaved throttle shaft. It also had the sensors and the TPS was calibrated properly but, wasn't cheap ($503.74 ~4 years ago). I see he closed down his Ebay site but, your link still works so, he may still be in business...

He is, I just bought my new unit from Sean, he is almost exclusively on social media now his facebook page is SPR & CFI performance. I haven't had the opportunity to install it yet but i'm very excited to. He seems to be doing more and more stuff.

The fuel pressure regulator spring in the TBI might be rusted and weak. There is a replacement spring that is better than the factory one available at Amazon, and it can boost the fuel pressure from 11-12 psi to 14-15 psi. Some people reported in the reviews a better cold start and throttle response.

Update: I am going to more than likely go with SPR performance for the rebuild.

Another question for everyone. Is an adjustable FPR worth it for even a stock engine? CFM performance says setting fuel pressure to 14lbs and tuning it from there is beneficial.

YES, the adjustable FPR is worth the time and effort. it will allow you to tune your fuel pressure to your engine with out alot of hassle.
