Un identified leak

It’s black on the chassis, and some clear under the hood, like on the firewall. But if that’s the substance, I don’t get why it took two weeks to start dripping… about the time that the black stopped.

Does the fluid look, smell, (taste ), like woolwax? Should be easy to rule that out.

I didn’t apply it so I can’t answer that one now but I’m going to head up to the place that did and see what they have to say.

Did you have a longer run time when you noticed the "stuff"? Maybe heat caused it to flow.

Definitely not the Woolwax. There is the lanolin smell and slightly darker color. Viscosity is a little bit thinner.

Lanolin smell but not woolwax. You do know that lanolin comes from wool right?

Yea, that came out wrong. Meant no lanolin smell on my drip, but there was a strong smell on the lanolin at the shop.

Yes, I get slurpy brain freeze cold out of that thing. Could there be a leak but the refrigerant is still there doing it’s thing?

Not sure about that. When did you last try it. It looks like PAG oil, but your there, I’m not.
