I'm Awesome
A buddy of mine was talking about a kit car that uses everything off a Chevy Cobalt or pontiac G5. It weighs 1,600 lbs when done, and is like a street legal go cart. The engine and transaxle are mounted in the back. A stock 2.2 ecotec is 150hp. Theres guys putting the Chevy Cobalt SS 250hp supercharged 5 speed setup in them. I imagine its insanely quick. An absolute riot. It's like an Ariel Atom but on a budget. Look up "DF Kit Car Goblin". I'd love to build one. Looking on copart auctions to gage a donor price. These donor cars are dirt cheap. Smacked in the front or side an ecotec 2.2 cobalt sedan is averaging a few hundred. The frame comes welded together and set up your your donor drivetrain. They advertise no welding, no drilling, no cutting. Takes about 100 hours to assemble one. heres some pix
