You take the stock lid and you flip it upside down. Creates a space between the air intake and the lid a few inches and allows more air in

Great info in this post! i know its a bit old, but im still new to the site and planning on adding some ponies to my k1500, and truck still is my dd. I've been looking at the edelbrock 3704 intake, 3702 cam, 60859 head, electric fan, also either xtremefi or cfm tech 50mm tbi with adjustable full pressure regulator and gauge, possibly bigger injectors and bigger fuel pump and custom chip. Just want to make sure im going in the right direction, thanks.
