Mk4, gen5, and gen6 are the same. The gen7 8.1 swaps two cylinders which I think is the same as the ls engines.

I am eyeing an 8.1L in the junkyard; unrelated to a swap in this truck unless the stars align. But I was only curious if I could've swapped this cam into my truck as is.I was referring to his comment about a 502 firing order. It sounded like he thought it was different, of course, it's just a guess on what he was thinking.
Do you plan on getting an 8.1L? If not, why spend $100 on a cam that you can't readily use? Unless you plan on converting the firing order... I assume that could be done in the programming of the 0411 PCM.
