So, can anyone explain why my intake and plenum are dripping with fresh-ish golden oil? Since the golden oil is quite a bit lighter than what's in the pan currently. By a lot.

Is it lighter than what shows on the dipstick? Or lighter than what comes out of the pan?

I thought it was lighter than what's on the dipstick. But there's always the possibility I'm wrong.

Also, is it normal for Gen VI to have guides for pushrods? I'm having a really hard time remembering back to my old K3500, but I don't outright recall seeing pushrod guides.

I got guides that say Mark IV (I think) on them, when I bought used early Gen VI heads. I did a search and came up with pages from BBC rebuild books that I believe inidcated that was normal..... it's been awhile so I'm sketchy on the details.

Ok. Next question. Does that mean I can swap to studs and roller rockers? Or will this set-up not support that, i.e. still needing machined for studs? Would there be even a tiny bit of benefit in going to roller rockers on a tow rig?
