Bilsteins are the only way to go on these rigs, good score!
Yeah, right before the injectors went **** up, I put a cheap set of KYBs GR2s/Excell-Gs on as a stop gap until the Bilsteins we're available again, and they really weren't much better than the 21 year old, 155k mile Bilsteins that were on Elise to begin with.

Also, just for giggles, I fired her up. She actually sat there and ran fairly decent for 20 minutes. No evidence of the failed injectors today. Doesn't change the fact I'm gonna change it all. Every last bit of what I've ordered is gonna get replaced. Probably gonna order even more parts by the time I'm done. :anitoof:

So, according to the FedEx tracking page, I should expect a delivery every day for the next 3 days. Possibly one next week. Then it's just the parts from the local AutoZone, and any odds and ends I think of. I think this just might be better than Christmas as a kid. I've never gotten to do something like this before. :waytogo:

The parts fairy showed up again today. 6 boxes from RockAuto. And amongst everything, only one wrong part. Easy enough to get corrected. So far, out of a literal 100 part order, I've gotten one damaged part, one wrong part. 98% perfect, and nothing that's gonna stop me from getting started on her teardown here in the next week or so. Very happy with @RockAuto so far. And they've been awesome on my other projects over the last few months.

Does anyone know if any of the head bolts on a Gen VI big block hit water jackets? Would be good to know before I start messing things up.

So, had a slight detour on Elise. Had to drop roughly $700 on the Frontier over the last couple of days, since that's my daily to work and back. But I think we're gonna be back to our regularly scheduled program in a day or two.
