Curious, what was the issue? ive meen chasing a wierd electrical gremlin on an 88's spark while it sits and rusts in the driveway. And just so i'm not showing up emty handed asking for stuff, my 89 K3500:
So, the biggest issue was the ENG 1 fuse was missing. How they all missed this baffles me. It controls the MAF, heated O2's and a couple other items. They had put a new MAF, new IAC, and a new distributor in it. None of them knew. When you'd crank it, it would fire, run a sec, then die. You could wait a fee secs, crank it again and it would start and run really rough (full rich, black smoke). Exactly what my red 98 K3500 did when this fuse popped. That was how i knew. The 2nd problem was out of 8 plugs, 2 were cracked and 5 were just soaked and fouled from them trying to run and drive it that way. I fixed all that, and changed the coolant temp sensor in the front of the intake which was dead too amd its been running great since.
