As long as I’ve been around I’ve never seen a 95 that was tbi. I thought they were all vortec 95 and up

I have a 95 in my driveway that is tbi. I can provide pics if you would like. If I remember right the 4.3's went vortec in 94.

When I think of vortec I think of multi port injection instead of tbi style of injection. I thought the 4.3's where tbi untill 94-95. I don't know much about them so I'm sure I'm talking out my rearend.

No they were both in 95. I’ve just never worked on a 95 with the tbi. I’ve been wrenching for 16 years. GM dealership for almost half of that. Don’t see many 400’s in the dealership anymore. Just odd all the 95 trucks I’ve worked on have been vortec.

Was it possibly a 4.3? Going off memory from selling parts 20+ years ago I thought the 95 4.3 where sfi not tbi. Also by no means am I trying to argue with you. Im just trying to help my memory and possibly yours.

The Vortec name was first used on the V6 and I believe just indicated it was EFI. They didn't have the multi-port injection, nor the Vortec head. I beleive the OP has a V8, or at least it's assumed.

I've never heard of any Chevy Vortex outside of people that don't know, don't care what they drive.

I beleive the S10 and Astro used that version of the 4.3.
