when we get the camper, we will be going different places and states to see places we've never been. we were going to get a toy hauler to haul the bikes, but they weigh too much for my dually. dry weight is way over my truck 5th wheel max. so ill just use the enclosed trailer and stay at cabins or rent a house. i can't afford a late model dually and a 5th wheel toy hauler.

Right on! Thought it was a dually by the front wheels, but I couldn't see the bed in the picture. Nice truck!

Flip kits don't usually change the ride much at all... Aftermarket shackles maybe can help/contribute? Shocks can make a big difference.

You should be able to pull whatever your truck is rated for and maybe a hair more with helper bags. As long as you have some distance from the bumpstops it should ride nice.

Where are ya going camping?
My wife has a 97 c3500 crew cab dually and it rides stiff as hell. It’s the 6.5 diesel 4” drop in rear with shackles and hangers. It has 7 total leafs on each side in the rear.

You have a nice looking truck, too! I'm not familiar with it though...Is it notched with your 4" drop? Also do they use shock extenders on those? I've heard some people do because the angles get weird when you go so far down.

Forgive me...No personal experience in 1-ton lowered world yet.

It’s the wife’s. Mines an 89 short bed single cab under construction. Tbh it’s only shackles and I extended them 2 more inches. No shock extenders but had to remove the rubber stops above the top leaf cause they were hitting. And the shackles touched the bottom of the bed so had to beat that upwards a little with a mallet. It’s temporary. She wants air ride and 22.5 conversion in future.

No it has 7 total. Short thick one on bottom and thick one on very top with rubber bump stops bolted to frame.
