Hi, my name is Jason. I’ve worked as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic for the past 7 years (not bragging or anything, barely know enough to be dangerous haha).My dad bought a 1999 K2500 Suburban (454, 4L80e, 8600GVW) when I was still a kid, as I grew up I fell in love with the truck, used to sneak off in it to wash and wax it as a teenager.. when I graduated high school he gave me the truck, we then began a frame off restoration of the truck, he passed away 3 years ago and I didn’t do much with it the first 2 years after his passing.. but I’ve picked it back up since the beginning of this year and I’ve gotten a lot of info off of this site to help us with our adventure. Figured why not join right?

I am excited to get to know some people, and get some more great info, also help anyone I can along the way as well.

I will start a build thread on the truck after I collect all my photos of the whole process (YIKES!).. so anyone who is interested will be able to check it out!

also this is my first time ever joining a forum, so if I’m doing anything wrong please tell me haha..

Hoy Hoy. Being in a trade is worth bragging. Skilled help here is worth gold now. Covid has sent our real estate market into the Insanity. Rich button pushers, like that ass from Shark Tank ( ain't going to say his name in case he has the RCMP in his pocket) demanding this and that. Got to love Diesel, heat my home with it. And in 1996, I had the option to put the 6.5 V8 Turbo in my short box! Madness, $2000.00 US. Have fun, Great Forum here.
