FWIU the G80 Gov-Bomb will lock when 1 axle is spinning ~100 RPM more than the other and stay locked up to ~20MPH, then it'll release. Great for mud/snow, not so much for performance in which it'll grenade.

It is the same differential . I have been working on these trucks for over 30 years. If you folks would take the time to due a little research you could better educate your selves and not rely on hearsay and "internet facts"

If your oil does not get black you have a problem.

I guess my Blazer has a problem then, because its 20k mile engine doesn't blacken within 3000 miles.... Wish I could say the same for my Sierra's 217k mile engine lol.
