I have a 97 7.4 and am wanting to do this........can you tell me the best way to go about this........do you the pin locations or should I just find lextech?
Thanks
I got the spreadsheet and computer from Lextech. You will need to go to another forum he is active on and PM him your email address. I used LS1Tech bc I am also a member over there. The starter tune I got is a stock tune for the express van but he changed the displacement and injector size to match my setup. The truck actually runs a lot smoother initially but I am waiting on my Blackbear tune to see how it really performs.

It's really simple to pull one pin out at a time and work your way down the sheet.

Since we have a new 96 up Vortec subsection, I thought I would make a new post.

The 12200411 PCM can be installed into the 96 to 2000 GMT400 trucks simply by repining the PCM connector terminals. The wiring is slightly different between the 96, 97, and 98 to 2000 trucks. The 0411 PCM has a much faster processor than the Black Box PCM and has dual timing tables. There is also more support from the tuning software companies for the 0411. EFILive and HPTuners both offer "Custom Operating Systems" for the 0411 to support boost and or nitrous. The swap can be completed in about 2 1/2 hrs and is fairly easy to do. If anyone is interested in the swap just PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a copy. I will not post the files to the web.

Good morning interested in the information for the 411 swap I have a 96 4x4 Yukon with a new GM crate 383 that could use a computer upgrade. And If all goes well with that I have a 98 2 wheel drive that will receive an up grade nothing to crazy as its a daily driver.
